Snow to 65 and other Adventures

We enjoyed the snow more than any other year...even Michael in his purple boots :-) And we love North Carolina because just a week after it snowed...it was 65 degrees and we were playing at the park. Love it!

Michael insisted on bringing his trains outside even though he kept dropping them from his mittened hands. He actually took the mittens off and froze his little hands...all for those trains!
Nicole was the Davy Crockett and they explored the unknown wilds of our backyard for a long, long time.
Nicole was so excited to do one thing upon going out in the snow- build a snow angel! Not sure where this idea came from, but you can see her joy!
Michael has determined his hair makes a perfect napkin. This has been going on for quite some time, and even providing him with linen napkins at dinner has not dissuaded him. Besides, look at the cool hairdo he can make with slimy, greasy fingers!
Nicole showing that her hair is not covered in spaghetti sauce.
The other day I heard paper crinkling behind the piano. Imagining the worst (rats) but knowing that was impossible, I looked behind the piano to see Jacob crawling back in a space barely wider than my leg! He had managed to pull out the light switch and was dragging it with him to eventually pull the lamp off. I couldn't move the piano because it has wheels and pulling one side might make the other side smash in on Jacob. So reaching sideways as far as I could, I grabbed a foot and slowly pulled him out. Once he was safe, I moved the piano closer to the wall, only to watch him crawl and fit in that smaller space. He is so TINY! Finally, I made the piano tilted even more closely to the wall (can't put it all the way because of the air vent) and he can't get back there. Crazy! And today he wanted to go upstairs with Michael and was up two stairs before I saw him and I had the heart attack I always have when my little babies first start trying the stairs.

Here is video at dinnertime. If you get this by email, go to http://delbifamily.blogspot.com to watch the fun.
