I made this chocolate trifle for a ladies luncheon with some friends- layers of brownie, caramel, pudding, whipping cream, & chocolate! So delicious!

Jacob hits the big ONE year mark on Friday! In our ward, there are four other babies born within a month of Jacob, so at playgroup this last week we got as many together as we could for a one year pic. Jacob was such a good sport, but I think you can tell he is not too keen on the idea.

Our nephew Lake is going on a mission for our church to Mesa, Arizona and he leaves very soon so we had his family as well as the sister missionaries over for a dinner tonight. We had Italian soup that Kristen made, a huge pan of lasagna, garlic breadsticks and "Too Much Chocolate" cake for dessert. We were all stuffed.

The kids had their own table and enjoyed eating in their own style :-) Jacob has a mix of lasagna, cheerios, and cake on his tray. Yum.

Nicole has been so excited to play dolls with her cousins and Lake and Kristen were good sports to play with her.

Jacob and Michael loved playing with Megan's and Rachel's cell phones and you wouldn't believe it but Michael sat still!! He even sat on Russell's lap (no toy bribe or anything- just sat still!) for a good 15 mintues.

Eventually, the Barbies attacked Lake. Not sure about the story line of what they were pretending, but Nicole was trying to get her doll's hair in his mouth. Her giggles were contagious! We are excited for Lake and are grateful for his good example to our kids. It will be fun to see if he serves near my family or Jim's family!
