April, May, end of school

Katy scored a goal in her soccer game!

General Conference with the family

Healthy snacks to keep us awake

Swimming Saturday evening

and watching "the game" where UNC beat Duke

family walk in the morning before Conference

Nicole eating to make up for all the basketball calories expended haha

Fortrees at Defy trampoline park

John scored a goal and it was "my best game ever!" It was also his first game.

the new lizard is pretty friendly

Nicole trying her hand at giving a hair cut. Went pretty well. I did a little clean up and the sideburns were a little off, but overall a great start.

We drove to the mountains for Spring Break.

Our Airbnb had an awesome view and a hot tub

Deer in the morning

And fun trails

With "ruins" of an old sewer plant!

Aren't they lovely!

John making giant chicken tracks to "scare" other hikers.

We had an Easter egg hunt in the huge backyard and the kids loved it!

More hiking (Diana was NOT happy when she fell and hurt her knee, but she got over it)

Such a cool hike with lots of water to cross

We ended up missing a turn and going a few extra miles including along the Blue Ridge Parkway. But it was gorgeous!

Archery practice at the airbnb. The house sat on over 10 acres so we had lots of room to play!

Upper and Lower Linville Falls

Fishing at Grandfather's Trout farm is the best.  Jake caught a big one and yes we paid for every pound.

Campfires every night were so fun

Found this flower totally growing in the steps from last year- crazy!

John has been making his bed to earn a Hershey kiss and he also tucks in his alligator. So cute.

We had several trees removed and this guy got in the harness, and they lifted him over the house and into the tree in the backyard, where he then climbed down and would saw off piece by piece and the crane would take the pieces away.  I guess it's easier to be lifted into the tree than to climb it? What a ride!

Michael got braces!

Nicole in the her last race! What a year of learning this has been!

Buying privacy screen trees with Jim

Birthday flowers from Jim with a present from John on top. Symbolic of my life haha

Setting up for charity concert at the clubhouse

My birthday party was grilled dinner and swim with friends. Daniel was in town too so it was extra fun.

Bee on salvia. So pretty.

A friend saw Nicole and Kiersten at their field trip to the zoo.

A friend sent this pic on Nicole in her long jump. She's not super happy about her distance, but is doing just fine.

Fast Sunday dinner roll making

Jim surfing in CR

Nicole can track him too haha

Practicing for Katy's baptism musical number

Mango trying to sneak Nicole's smoothie

Nicole "moonwalking" her cafeteria so I will buy her barbacoa

Katy got baptized!

Kiersten and Nicole gave a talk

I went to spend time with Daniel and Caleb while they were doing work at Marian's house. SO fun to see them!

Mike punting the ball after a save. He still loves being goalie.

Nicole stuffing her croissant with a hershey kiss. She was a good sport to come to women's conference even though no other youth were there. We both really enjoyed it.

Mike had his first dance so Nicole showed him how to dance.

Playing games at the dance while everyone showed up

Out in our garden

All the Europe plans

I had a whole binder with each day's tix/reservations

We did swim team for a few weeks this year

Deacon campout with Jake and Jim (and Mike)

and John came along too!

super hot game, Diana hardly subbed out. She was amazing and worked so hard.

Katy in the heat still running

John stubbornly begged me to get these supplies so he could make his own fooseball table.

Diana making clay from Grandma Ostler's birthday present

Prizes for our Ukraine Charity concert

We had girls come over and spend hours making these bracelets to sell too

Nicole still saves worms off the sidewalk

tuning up...it was a great concert and we raised over 200 dollars for Ukraine, fun night!

Katy's whiteboard tells of her excitement

Diana is very organized on her whiteboard. I love reading it, as it changes every day.

Swim team pic. We really only went to the warmup meet and won't be at any others...maybe the last one? Oh well.

John made a footprint from air dry clay and kept putting it around the house, hoping to scare me that a Yeti was in the house. He is hilarious.

Last day of school!

Random lettuce on the bathroom counter? That's when you know you have lizards and a busy husband.

Lizard likes being spiderman crawling on the ceiling.

The had an awards assembly and the boys got some for being on the soccer team.
