Spring

The kids were making pancakes and the socket in the island started smoking! Big repairs later and it's all fixed.

Trash dump run! This is what happens when you forget to take the cans to the street one week.

Easter dinner

I got two wisdom teeth out because one of them came partially through and trapped food all the time.

Liquid diet was interesting to go on for a while. Butternut squash soup was delicious for a few meals. Very grateful for the ability to eat solid foods!

Katy turned 10! She wanted a funfetti cake with animals on the sides and a deer on top. I tried to make her dreams come true with minimal effort :)

Jim and I won the NCAA basketball March Madness tourney with my family so we got some great prizes lol

We also had the lovely discovery that our upstairs kids toilet was never sealed correctly and has been very very slowly leaking over time. Got that fixed too.

Kitchen ceiling during repairs.

Jim and I got global entry so we can travel easier. Not sure if we will use it for a long long time but it was a good excuse to visit the beach!

Nicole is working at a local grocery store and loves seeing lots of people she knows and dealing with all kinds of situations. Good life skills practice.

I turned 40!

Diana put up signs around the house. Best one was "Mom rules! (Like actually)"

I make several shopping trips a week, this is just amazing to me how much we consume.

Family campout to Jordan Lake

John learning to skip rocks

Some friends let the kids ride their jet ski. With hardly anyone at the lake they had a blast!

Camping fun

We got a nintendo switch and somehow I gained more kids in just a few hours

Our neighbor poisoned our beautiful privacy trees. This was after a few days. They've lost even more leaves now. I'm praying they don't die altogether. I guess he didn't like that they shaded his side yard so he poisoned them. It was really sad.

Jim went to John's field trip.

It was the best day ever for John!

Mike and Nicole went with a group of friends to the Church prom dance.

Mother's Day pics in front of the temple

Katy put up her birthday present for me on my bedside lamp. Pretty cute.

We played our family band at the Cary Night Market.

Nicole and Katy brought home shaved ice as our reward for a great concert!

Diana and Jake had their sports awards banquet. Jacob got the Leadership award for his soccer team. Diana got Best Defensive Player and Leadership award for basketball and Team Spirit for soccer. And a multisport medal.

We went as a family to explore our new land. We will be building a house this year. It's on 2 acres and backs up to Jordan Lake.

Kathryn was with us and explored the land as well.

Then we played in the area of the lake that we will be able to walk to from our backyard. Mike rowed a kayak pulling Kathryn on a tube. The best part about this area of the lake is that it's cut off from the main lake so no boats are allowed. This gave me total peace of mind for Jake to go off fishing and for the kids to splash and paddle all over.

Throwing around a football and playing some monkey in the middle

John requested Lemon Shrimp Spaghetti to put in his class coobook.

Jake went hiking behind our land with Jim and Mike and caught a big one!

We had the Koffords over and it was funny to see how many kids they tried to fit on the swim mat!
