Before church last Sunday- and Katy came the next day!
Diana lovin' her fluffy dress
My silly girls
Diana eating with two spoons at once.
Nicole did a marathon- well, 25 miles of it- by running/walking with Jim over the last few months. Her school sponsors the "marathon" and this Friday all of the kids who did the 25 miles will run the last 1.2 miles together and get a medal. It was a great reason to get outdoors and they went on the trail in our neighborhood. As you can see, they sometimes got a little sidetracked!
Katy Lynn was born on 4/14/14, weighed 6 lbs 9oz and was 21in long. She was so wide awake for a long time I think she was waiting to hear her siblings
The labor went well, my blood pressure dropped but the nurse took care of it and I had Katy shortly thereafter. It was a really busy day so we were fortunate that we were able to have Katy. It's hard to find sitters since the boys are so active and Diana so young, we ended up using a drop-in daycare for the morning and then some amazing friends watched the youngest three until Jim got back that night and other neighbor friends helped get Nicole to and from school. It was a blessing to be able to focus on sweet Katy coming to our family.
Jim and Katy in the delivery room. She's here!
My sweet swaddled Katy.
Nicole was excited to hold Katy! She came with my mom, the boys and D came earlier but we had our hands full introducing them to their sister and didn't get any pics. They adore her and it was so wonderful to see them automatically love her like that.
The big sister!
Sweet sleep.
Hello Dad!
Mom did an Easter egg hunt with the kids. I loved seeing their happy faces and hearing their delighted laughing and shrieks as they found eggs.
Let the sugar high begin!
Diana really knows how to enjoy her food!
I gave Katy a little sunshine while watching the kids enjoy the spoils of their hunt!
Diana loves Katy- she loves pointing out Katy's nose to me!
Girl time watching Beauty and the Beast.
At nighttime the kids each get turns cuddling Katy. I sing them a song "from her" and then they get to sing her a song. It's a sweet time where they feel a special one-on-one connection to this new little sister.
Happy to be with daddy.
Diana trying to show Katy how fun it is to have your thumb!
Our home teacher came over with some fun eggs too and the kids had fun garnering yet more sugar!
Easter Sunday! Little fluffy angel Diana with her daddy.
Sweet Jacob and his half smile.
He is so full of fun and love.
Michael wasn't so sure about posing with a flower.
Nicole and D.
We tried getting a pic of all the kids but Diana was not to keen on this idea.
Katy and I were at home trying to recuperate after partying all night, but Mom got some great shots of Jim and the oldest four.
Jake and his Grandma! We had a wonderful week with Grandma, she showered the kids with love and they had the time of their life! We will all miss her very much over the next three years while she, Dad and Caleb are in the Philippines.
