Four Years Old

Our little angel is four years old! She is vibrant and happy, sweet and silly, loving and energetic...and just as terrified of spiders as her mommy. :-)

We had a party for her at the park in our culdesac. The weather blasted a previous record with a blazing 98 degrees, but we still had about 15 kids and their brave parents. We had water balloons and they were gone within a few minutes!

Aaron and Michael loved splashing the leftover water at anyone walking by - and each other.

Each of the kids colored a mask and we tied string on each side so they could wear them.

Finally time for cake! Nicole has been positive for at least the last three months that she wanted a blue lizard cake.

She blew out all four candles at once! This was much different than her first year when she was terrified of the candle! She felt like a queen on top of the world when everyone sang to her, I loved seeing that happiness in her face.

Everyone went for the hands and eyeballs!

Michael is still up to anything and everything. This week he fell against the pack n play (which looks harmless but apparently is not) and scraped the side of his face. He is all "go" all the time!

Jacob cut his first tooth this week and is enjoying all sorts of pureed foods. He even eats peas!! He sucks his thumb and curls the other fingers around his nose. His crawling is totally backwards- he flips on his back, arches his back so his head is upside down, scoots his legs so he moves forward, then flips back over to see how far he got. Quite creative!

She got a special hat in her primary class and jumped right up in singing time when they announced her birthday-she was totally ready for that birthday prize!

Nicole's gift from us was this roller. The kids LOVE it and as long as we let them play with it in a small space they won't get going too fast :-)
