Uncle Luke's Visit and Nicole's froggy

Luke visited last week just in time for Hurricane Irene. He and Jim went surfing for one full fun day of great waves and also saw a lighthouse out there on the Outer Banks. They came home that night due to the mandatory evacuation. Despite some howling winds, they fished every other chance they had after working over the rest of Luke's visit. Even with rain from the hurricane and all (don't worry we didn't get it bad). Jim said when Luke caught this fish you could hear him hootin' and hollerin' across the lake! 2.5 lbs according to Jim's scale. (yes, he has one :-) The kids had a blast playing at the pool with Luke, I think my favorite was watching Jim and Luke carry the kids on their backs and race across the deep end of the pool while Nicole was shouting encouraging phrases such as giddyap and yeehaw.Jim took this pic of a prehistoric fish he caught with crazy razor teeth!Nicole was rooting around the backyard with Michael today. In the little rock bed in the back corner she found this little froggy. She was parading him all over the yard then bequeathed him to Michael who proudly and carefully carried his froggy around. They mercifully let the frog go after a half hour.

Here's a video of the froggy and general delight all of the kids have for the cute little amphibian. www.delbifamily.blogspot.com
