Here's our habitat for the buns. They are doing great and come right up to the kids (since the kids always bring the food!) and have been doing great.
We've been having awesome weather and spend time at the park. The boys are great playmates and keep each other running around, swinging, and digging in the sand.
Diana loves the baby swings and kicks her feet so much in excitement I can barely get her in the thing!
Jim and Daddy with their magnetic creation! We got these Magformers to keep the kids quietly occupied during church and they love these!
Nicole had her first swim meet yesterday. Our neighborhood has their own swim club and we compete against other neighborhoods (since, unlike AZ, only a handful of people own pools). There are around 50 kids in our club. Nicole already knows four of the six other kids in her age level for swim practice so it has been an easy transition. In this pic she's waiting in the seat for her swim lane!
Getting ready for freestyle race! The cute part is they actually only go 15 yards. So there are older girls waiting at the temporary finish line string they put up. They were SO fun to watch and cheer on.
Get set...
And here is the video of Nicole's first ever swim race. She did an incredible job for having only tried the starting block a handful of times before! Her predive stance was awesome, but her "dive" could not even liberally be called a dive...However, it was still very cute. Jim and I were prettymuch grinning ear to ear when she got first place. We were so proud of her for trying so hard! She also did backstroke and was about to do the race for breast stroke when she slipped on the starting block as she was climbing up and scraped her leg pretty good. So she missed that race and had a great battle wound to show Uncle Luke since he flew in yesterday. She was nervous about her friends seeing it today at school, so I told her she could just tell everyone that a shark got her! :)
