Our week

I lost track of my phone on Sunday for just a short while...

And this was BEFORE church! :)

I made some BYU mint fudge brownies.

Yep, still yummy.

We had the sod put in and the kids loved the entertainment.

Rocks around the drain areas, mulch around the garden and edge of porch.

We lined up chairs hoping to distract Diana from walking on the lawn. It doesn't work really. :)

I tried taking some panorama shots so you can see the whole yard.

I need to put some before and after shots together, it is incredible how much more play-able and productive this space is now. Not as "wild pretty" but we are okay with that.

Soccer season has begun! While waiting for Jake's practice to end so we can head to Michael's practice, Mike asked if he could take our picture. Such a sweetheart.

Coming in for a water break during his practice. Mike and Jake have the same flame socks and white blond hair. Mike's coach looked over and saw the back of Jake as he was playing with Diana and the coach started calling for Michael (who was actually Jacob) to come back to practice...before he realized Mike was right in front of him. It was pretty funny.

My fun, sweaty, happy boys. They were discussing who was the best soccer players they know. Some kid they knew was number one. Then Mike said I'm number two I think. And Jake said I'm number three, right Mike? And he said yeah that's right. I guess we need a talk on humility? :)

We got to watch Makayla and Troy for a little and Katie gave us some sundae cones as a thank you. It was the perfect ending to an evening where we had 3 soccer practices!

Tying Jake's soccer shoes. They are always hard to get on, off, and everything in between.

After the three oldest had soccer on Saturday, we went rock climbing with friends at their gym. Jake was finally old enough! They have these awesome ropes that have automatic tension so you don't need a belayer and the kids can actually climb. Jake really loved being able to go!

The kids climb so high it's crazy! Mike is getting better each time and Nicole can climb everything we can. Of course we aren't doing any of the crazy sideways upside-down stuff. Yet...

But after a while all he wanted to do was make angels in the shredded tires.

Jim and Mike climbing together.

Saturday late afternoon we went to an open field and played soccer.

Katie loved the open fields!

Love those blue eyes and flyaway hair.

Marian's family and Daniel came and we played a huge game of soccer. With ten kids running (or in Katy's case crawling) around it was quite a game!

We purposefully put Michael on the same team as Dallin and Devin in the hopes that Michael's steamroller way of playing would not cause issues. The kids had a great time, but still, somehow, more than once, Mike and Dallin ended up on the ground all tangled up with a shoe missing or someone face planting. Impressive work, boys. :) Oh and Daniel racked up some best-uncle points by giving out treats at the end. What an awesome way to end a week with our awesome family.
