Working on my imitation Chocolate Stampede. Mousse, ganache, mirror glaze, buttercream, and cake is all chocolate.
Boys like a wall on D! Jake had his yearly dr checkup, he is 50lbs (5th %) and 51in tall (34th%).
Cousins on the same team has got to be one of the funnest things ever. They had the most epic win Saturday, going to three matches and coming back from a huge deficit to beat the only undefeated team.

Katy had her yearly checkup too. She is 33lb (7th%) and 42in (56th%).
Katy was the line leader for her preschool class and she and her class fish helped make sugar cookies.

Knowing Diana's excitement for her sisters presents, I made sure that one of the gifts was a bracelet set you share with a best friend :)

John one Sunday just konked out on the couch. Sweating while he slept. It had been a long day!
Skyping on Fast Sunday with my family is always fun, especially the times we get to see Caleb all the way in Fiji!
We hatched some butterflies and it is such a magical time to release them.
Katy was pretty nervous but enchanted at the same time.
For Spring Break we went to Busch Gardens for a few days. Nicole has no fear for any ride. Diana loves to go with her on every ride she is tall enough for!

Diana kept screaming she was going to die, but it was a happy thrilled kind of scream haha.
John went on the bumper cars SO many times because there was no line. He figured out the gas in two seconds but couldn't figure out how to steer really. So he went in circles a lot.
We went on the river cruise, it was a nice break in all the activity.
My horse lovers were so excited to pet and learn about this horse.
Mike just plain wasn't interested :)
A highlight of any trip to Williamsburg is the pancake houses.

Ready to ride the rollercoaster! She is brave and tough, even though she is hesitant. It's an interesting combination, I think Diana has helped her feisty side come out.
John rode the coaster a bunch. He was terrified and excited and overwhelmed all at once.
It is just starting to get hot se we ran through the water a few times.
We lost our van. Went to two wrong parking lots, despite Jacob being sure we were in the third parking lot. We told him he was totally wrong and stop telling us! Anyways, by the time we made it to the second (wrong) parking lot, we joked that Jake would get ice cream if he turned out to be right. Well, he was! So he got an ice cream pizza that night and was pretty happy about it.

Not only did we get the Nascar brand of gas, we also officially took a "pit stop" and the kids were thrilled.
Very top left is Nicole on a crazy ride that I simply would never do. She went on this ride multiple times, and even convinced Mike one time to go also.
Jim was so kind and took the littles on the spinning rides when they were sad they couldn't do the big kid rides.

Daniel and Janell were an awesome birthday gift, I really enjoyed spending time with them and am so excited for their baby to come this summer.
After Easter dinner, watching Veggie Tales while the adults chatted on the back porch.

The moment Nicole discovered our church boundaries were changing and 1. we are in her cousin's ward and 2. our drive is now 2 minutes instead of 20 to church.

Our kiwi plants, after 4-5 years, are finally blossoming and we hope they bear fruit!
We have trained these vines and trimmed them to go where we want. A lot of work and it's so awesome to see it hopefully turning out!
I played ponies with Katy and the ponies gave speeches about what they love to do, waited in line for cupcakes from Minnie, and defeated the bad guys.

Nicole's 6th grade class went to Carowinds Stem Engineering day.
We went out to dinner and Jim couldn't decide between the sandwich he wanted and the one promoted by the server. So he ate part of both and had a great lunch the next day :)
Diana filled out her own "welcome to primary" sheet. She was interested in filling out her favorites only apparently.

Katy had a Kindergarten screening and she insisted on getting decked out for it. Can't believe next year it will be just John at home!
Diana loves her teacher and enjoys reading to Katy just like her teacher does at school.
Nicole wanted to play volleyball with me so much she braved these pine trees to retrieve our lost volleyball. She kinda got stuck :)
For Mother's Day preschool celebration, Katy and John enjoyed the snacks and oreos before lunch.
They had a whole singalong and Katy was NOT interested in participating.
Jake had a market day where you sell homemade goods for "Jolly Roger dollars" and Jake made homemade wooden wands. He sold almost all at a pretty high price so he made a ton!

Jim took his sister and Brody plus the boys camping and fishing at the beach.
We navigated morning soccer and volleyball at home, Nicole being an amazing helper. She did all of the kitchen cleaning without me even asking (I even said she didn't have to but she just did it!) She played in the extra soccer field with the kids so I could watch Diana.
Diana does not enjoy being goalie, but she suffers through it so she can get running again.

The boys made it back for their soccer game in the afternoon. I love seeing them play together, they communicate well during the game.
Jake will chase you down! Mike will plow through you! Their different strengths make for some great entertainment.
